"Velga" smocked cotton dress cream
Description

She who already drapes herself in our “Velga” pieces will love this one too. And for all new to our “Velga” collection, welcome.

This dress embodies the very soul of summer. Made of delicate cotton eyelet fabric, it is fully lined with lightweight cotton voile. After all, comfort and breathability are key, delivered here in a modest cut that fits all. How? By way of a machine-smocked bodice that comfortably adapts to the shape of the bust. Flexible and made to move with you, it delicately hugs the body without holding too tight.

Holding it up, two shoulder straps tied into a bow. Should you yearn for whimsy, cross them at the back. A tailor can permanently sew them in place if that’s what becomes you.

The “Velga” dress is nothing if not practical. The hem can be easily shortened, as the lower tier has been intentionally designed to be longer than the others. This way, alterations can be made without disrupting the visual harmony. Now that’s what we call thinking ahead.

Light, airy and comfortable, the “Velga” dress was made to swoosh along with you on summer’s longest days.

Crafted from 100% cotton with a cotton lining and easy to care for, this piece can be machine washed at 30°C. We recommend using a regular machine wash cycle with spinning, as it helps the natural fibres regain their shape. To preserve its beauty over time, wash separately or with similar colors.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
