Cashmere, Wool & Cotton — Choosing Your Knit

Each fibre does a different job. Start with the weather.

Lambswool is for real cold. The "Ilya" jacket is knitted from 100% lambswool in a dense double garter stitch. It holds heat and keeps its shape. The "Modra" layer is 100% wool with wooden buttons. Both are soft wool, not stiff wool.

Cotton-cashmere is for in-between days. The "Ariana" turtleneck is 95% cotton and 5% cashmere. The cashmere adds softness. The cotton keeps it light and easy to wash.

Cotton is for layering indoors. The "Mona" pieces are 100% cotton with generous stretch. They adapt to most bodies.

Simple rule: pick lambswool for winter, cotton-cashmere for autumn and spring, openwork cotton for layering. All of them are natural fibers. All are ethically made in small batches. Voriagh patterns every piece in Paris. The cotton pieces are knitted in a certified workshop in Mauritius.

Turtlenecks, Cardigans & Knitted Jackets — Find Your Piece

Turtleneck sweater

The "Ariana" is a soft turtleneck with puffed sleeves. It comes in black, burgundy and mustard. Wear it alone or under a vest. It is a cotton-cashmere sweater you can machine wash.

Cropped cardigan

The "Mona" cropped lace cardigan is short by design. In size XS/S it is 36 cm long. It sits at the waist. Wear it over a dress or a high-waisted skirt. The openwork stitch adds texture without weight. A cream and a black version exist, with short or long sleeves.

Knitted jacket and vest

The "Ilya" knitted jacket has gigot sleeves and a sculpted waist. Six metal buttons close the front. The cut nods to traditional Austrian tailoring. Prefer no sleeves? The Ilya knitted vest has the same waist shaping. Both are in the jackets and coats family.

Styling Knitwear for Layering

Think in layers. Thin first, thick last.

• Knit over blouse. Wear the Modra over a blouse or a long, cosy dress.

• Vest over turtleneck. The Ilya vest over the Ariana adds warmth without bulk at the shoulders.

• Cardigan over dress. Wear the cropped Mona cardigan over a simple dress for a shape at the waist.

• Add a wrap. A wool stole finishes any knit outfit.

Keep one statement piece per outfit. Let the other layers stay quiet. Every knit here works as a layering piece.

Fit, Sizing & Knit Care

Sizing. Voriagh sizes in ranges, not single sizes: S/M, M/L, L/XL. Each range covers a span. On the Ariana, for example, S/M fits a 80–95 cm bust and M/L fits 96–110 cm. Care. Follow the fibre.

• Cotton and cotton-cashmere: machine wash at 30°, separately or with similar colours. A short, fast spin helps the fibres regain their shape.

• Wool: avoid the machine unless it has a wool cycle without spin. Wool is naturally self-cleaning thanks to lanolin. Air it outside in cold, dry weather.

• Storage: store wool carefully and protect it from moths.

FAQ

Is it hand-finished?
Voriagh designs and patterns each piece in Paris. Certified workshops make it in small batches. There are no custom orders. Product pages describe the making, not hand embroidery.

How do I wash wool or cashmere?
Our cotton-cashmere knits go in the machine at 30°. Pure wool pieces prefer airing, or a wool cycle with no spin. When in doubt, air first.

Do these run true to size?
Sizes are ranges. Check the cm chart on the product page against your bust and waist. The model on the Ilya jacket, bust 96 cm, wears S/M. Still unsure? Ask the team before you order.
