"Mivilud" embroidered dress buckwheat
Description

The 'Mivilud' dress is adorned with embroidery inspired by traditional patterns, particularly those of the Matyó region, where nature comes to life through delicate depictions of birds and flowers. Echoing the charm of historic craftsmanship, older embroidery is often distinguished by its naive style, sometimes rendered in intricate cross-stitch, varying by region.


These motifs are the result of extensive study and skilled artistry, freely reinterpreted and thoughtfully designed by us. They do not belong to any protected cultural heritage but serve as a heartfelt tribute to Magyar tradition, celebrating its beauty and spirit.


The cut is based on a 1970s design and is likely inspired by an Afghan “Hazaragi” dress, based on the placement of the embroidery on the sleeves, bodice, and edges of the garment.


Crafted from soft, washed cotton, the 'Mivilud' dress is a versatile piece that transitions seamlessly through the seasons—light and breathable for summer and mid-season, yet effortlessly elegant when layered with a sweater and tights in winter.

A discreet back zipper ensures a perfect fit, while a delicate tie belt cinches the waist for a flattering silhouette. Designed with both grace and practicality in mind, its pockets add a touch of everyday functionality, making it as wearable as it is enchanting.


Zélie (first model) is 173 cm tall (5'7) and wears the size Small.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
