PREORDER "Lavinia" embroidered velvet bodice ceramic
Description


For those who move through winter as if it were their own realm, the Lavinia corset in its cream shade embodies quiet strength and softened elegance. Crafted from cotton velvet and edged with a fur trim, it evokes the stillness of pale forests and the gentle authority of old-world silhouettes.


The front lacing, framed by ornate brass loops, allows for a sculpted and adjustable fit. The slightly flared lower edge brings a subtle, peplum-like grace to the waist, while an embroidered Hungarian deer on the back stands as a symbol of protection, intuition, and ancestral strength.


The shade Ceramic leans toward a warm, creamy tone rather than a stark white, lending the piece a natural depth and softness that enhances its timeless character.


Worn over a blouse or a dress, Lavinia adds a folkloric presence to contemporary silhouettes—designed to be layered, worn, and lived in.

The “Pia” blouse is not included.

Model measurements: height 178 cm (5’10”), bust 89 cm (35”), waist 68 cm (26.8”), hips 90 cm (35.4”). She wears size XS.

This item is available on pre-order. Estimated delivery is end of May. Once your order is placed, you will receive regular email updates throughout the crafting process.

We searched extensively for a wool or plant-based faux fur to replace the recycled polyester trim used on earlier versions. Despite reaching out to multiple suppliers across Europe and Asia, we were unable to find a viable natural alternative at our scale. This final batch will therefore use the original faux fur trim. We wanted to be transparent about this, and remain committed to finding a solution for future versions.

This preorder applies exclusively to Lavinia pieces. If your order includes both an in-stock item and a Lavinia preorder piece, all items will be shipped together in a single shipment. Additional shipping fees may apply if a partial shipment is requested, or if circumstances require it.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
