"Giedre" natural linen dress
Description

Lithuanian to its very core, the “Giedrė” dress celebrates traditional Lithuanian craftsmanship in both its materials and its making. 

It is made of Lithuanian linen and finished with authentic Lithuanian linen lace, a detail chosen with much consideration. The reason? Linen lace is exceptionally strong and durable, so the neckline can be gathered again and again with its sturdy linen drawstring. Beyond practicality, it also keeps its shape over time. 


This also makes the neckline wearable in multiple ways. Tie it closely for a modest look or let it slide off your shoulders for a more romantic silhouette.


Falling to a graceful mid-length, the dress can be worn loose and flowing, just as it is, or cinched at the waist with a belt. Should you wish for more structure, it pairs beautifully with a corset. May we suggest the “Alma” corset for the purpose? Made of the same sturdy linen, it makes for a natural pairing. You can see the two layered together in the model photos on the left.

Crafted from 100% linen and easy to care for, this piece can be machine washed at 30°C. We recommend using a regular machine wash cycle with spinning, as it helps the natural fibres regain their shape. To preserve its beauty over time, wash separately or with similar colours.

This piece is made in Lithuania, where we've worked with the same workshop and Rita for years. Lithuania has a deep heritage in linen production: the fabric is native to the region, and the craft tradition for working with it runs centuries deep.

We chose to produce here in Europe for the expertise in structured, precise garment-making and direct access to exceptional quality linen. The making of knowledge and attention to detail align perfectly with pieces that require more technical construction.
