“Eszter” black skirt with velvet trim details
Description

Wonderfully proportioned, the “Eszter” skirt has that special quality about it that makes everyday dressing feel like the first sentence of a fairytale. 

Simple, unassuming, yet delightfully rich in details, it features an ornate hem finished with black velvet ribbons and a geometric velvet trim. Sister to the “Eszter” overdress, it carries the same decorative motifs and makes the perfect choice if you’d much rather twirl around in a skirt and blouse.

Its length falls just a touch longer than a midi, with generous pleats at the front and an elastic waistband at the back, making it comfortable to wear all day long.

Deliberately unlined, the dress skirts around (ha!) classic lining with its intentional volume, blooming into fabulous movement. Lining would’ve added unnecessary weight and bulk, so we did away with it. 

A folk-inspired skirt that was created to be worn time and time again, with gusto.

Jessica is 1.66 m (5'5") tall, with an 85 cm (33.5") bust, 61 cm (24") waist, and 89 cm (35") hips. She wears a size XS/S.

Machine wash at 30°C. We recommend machine washing rather than hand washing, as modern washing machines can provide a gentler and more consistent wash. Use a medium spin cycle of up to 1000 rpm.

Wash dark colours separately. Iron inside out on a high heat setting with steam.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
