“Eszter” black over-dress with velvet trim details
Description

Arguably one of the most practical types of dresses out there, an overdress is a blend of sheer practicality and folk-inspired presence. And the “Eszter” overdress is no exception.

Made of cotton in the deepest shade of black, its flattering cut is always there to wrap you closely. The skirt is gathered at the waist and open at the front, and right above it three braided cords close in to gently mark your waistline.

Velvet trims on the neckline and hem add warmth and the kind of visual detail that asks for a second glance. Pair it with a piece bearing sumptuous sleeves to make the most of it and wear it as a layer all throughout autumn and into the depths of winter.

Jessica is 1.66 m (5'5") tall, with an 85 cm (33.5") bust, 61 cm (24") waist, and 89 cm (35") hips. She wears a size S.

Machine wash at 30°C. We recommend machine washing rather than hand washing, as modern washing machines can provide a gentler and more consistent wash. Use a medium spin cycle of up to 1000 rpm.

Wash dark colours separately. Iron inside out on a high heat setting with steam.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
