"Cosima" black shift dress with long sleeves
Description

The "Cosima" shift dress is a delicate garment with authentic charm. 

Inspired by historical undergarments, it is the modern heir to the body shirt—once a light piece worn beneath corsets to protect outer clothing.


We’ve transformed it into a standalone piece made from pleasant, easy-care cotton poplin, ideal for warm summer days. Versatile in design, it can be worn on its own, with your favorite corsets, or layered under a skirt. It can also serve as a charming nightgown, just like its predecessors.


Additionally, pleats at the front of the sleeves allow you to adjust their length: you can add pleats to shorten the sleeves or remove them to lengthen them, offering a customizable fit according to your preferences.


Julie (first model) is 169 cm tall (5'5) and wears the size S/M.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
