"Austra" embroidered dress plum
Description

The “Austra” dress is a garment with Baltic influences. We went looking for “Austra’s koks”, or Tree of Life in Latvian folk tales. This symbol represents a stylized version of the oak tree, and its three worlds: the past, the present, and the future, and is embroidered on the bust, the bottom of the sleeves, and the hem of the dress.


A belt, also embroidered, will complete this midi-length dress, and allow you to tighten the waist as you wish. And if you're looking for a place to slip your favorite stones into, know that you can keep them warm in the pockets of the dress.


This embroidery is freely inspired and designed by us. It is not associated with protected cultural heritage and only represents a tribute.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
