“Austra” embroidered dress forest green
Description
Should you find yourself curious as to the inspiration for the “Austra” dress, you’ll have to trace it all the way back to the Tree of Life. The three worlds contained within it (past, present and future) find their place on the bust, the sleeves and the hem of this dress.

A matching, embroidered belt completes the silhouette, there to gather the waist as closely or as loosely as you wish.

As with any dress worth its keep, the “Austra” has pockets for any small treasures you find along the paths you walk.

The embroideries on the “Austra” dress are the result of our own research and making. They are freely designed by us and are not associated with protected cultural heritage. They represent a tribute to Latvian culture.


Our model Chermila is 169 cm tall (5'6) and wears the size Small. Her measurements are: bust 90cm 35.4" / waist 68cm 26.7"/ hips 89cm 35”.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
