"Astrid" embroidered skirt gingerbread inspired
Description
If you look in the dictionary under the word “romantic,” that’s where you'll find the “Astrid” skirt. We kid, but also, almost not.

Two full, generous flounces fall from an embroidered waistband and sweep toward a hem adorned with embroidery. Made of cotton and lined with cotton voile, the skirt sits light against the body and moves with ease.

The waistband is elasticated to suit all body types and is further adjustable with a drawstring finished in handmade tassels.

Two pockets are tucked within the folds, deep enough for small treasures and everything else you'd rather keep on hand.

The embroideries on the "Astrid" skirt are the result of our own research and making. They are freely designed by us and are not associated with protected cultural heritage. 


Our model Julie is 169 cm tall (5'5) and wears the size XS/S.

Her measurements are : bust 87cm 34.2' / waist 64cm 25'/ hips 86cm 33.8'.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
