"Astrid" embroidered skirt gingerbread inspired
Description

The "Astrid" skirt is a romantic piece with folkloric inspiration, crafted from cotton lined with cotton voile for lightness and comfort.


Very full and composed of two large flounces, it stands out with its rich Hungarian-style embroidery at the hem and waistband. The waistband is elasticated to suit all body types and can be further adjusted with a matching drawstring, adorned with handmade tassels.

Both practical and elegant, the skirt also features pockets, combining functionality with bohemian charm.


The embroideries on the 'Astrid' dress are the result of our research and craftsmanship. They are freely inspired and designed by us. They are not associated with a protected cultural heritage and pay tribute to Hungarian culture.


Our model Julie is 169 cm tall (5'5) and wears the size XS/S.

Her measurements are : bust 87cm 34.2' / waist 64cm 25'/ hips 86cm 33.8'.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
