"Nelda" embroidered black velvet bolero
Description

The 'Nelda' bolero is freely inspired by the mysterious aura of folk costumes of the Balkans.



This charming short bolero is decorated with an embroidery technique called 'Blackwork'. Originally made with silk thread on light-colored linen or cotton garments, this 16th-century style embroidery was occasionally embellished with colored or metallic thread. We decided to add our personal touch by embroidering in gold thread on an elegant black velvet. It is closed with 5 discreet hooks.



Rama is 163 cm tall (5'3) and wears the size XS.

Her measurements are : bust 83 cm 32.6' / waist 62 cm 24.4' / hips 89 cm 35'.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
