"Teresz" embroidered ceremony apron

Description

Stylized female figures, flowering trees and rows of pomegranates dance along the bottom edge of the “Teresz” apron, a historic Hungarian folk embroidery pattern originally recorded on a redwork decorative household textile.

Crafted from natural linen, the “Teresz” apron features a reproduction of this wonderful embroidery, worked in vibrant red thread and finished with delicate lace along the hem. Red tassels made from the same thread as the embroidery adorn the belt ties at the back.

The waist belt slides, so it can be gathered, repositioned and adjusted until it feels just right. Once you've found your perfect fit, we recommend a few stitches to hold it in place for a more graceful line at the waist and a clean silhouette.

 Marion is 180 cm (5'11"). Her measurements are: bust 90 cm (35.4") / waist 69 cm (27.1") / hips 97 cm (38.1").

This apron measures 52 cm (20.5") wide and 74 cm (29.1") in length, with a 216 cm (85") tie belt.

Crafted from 100% linen and easy to care for, this piece can be machine washed at 30°C. We recommend using a regular machine wash cycle with spinning, as it helps the natural fibres regain their shape. To preserve its beauty over time, wash separately or with similar colours.

This piece is made in India, where we've worked with the same workshop for almost 10 years. India is the birthplace of cotton and home to over 500 embroidery techniques, some of the world's oldest. We chose to produce here not for cost, but for unmatched expertise in handwork and natural materials.

Our workshop has deep knowledge of traditional embroidery and garment construction. Together, we explore both European folk patterns and Indian craft techniques, mixing traditions to create something new. It's a collaboration we're proud of.

All production meets rigorous standards: BSCI for social ethics, OEKO-TEX® for textile safety, and full transparency throughout the supply chain.
